The fifth edition of the International Helicopter Industry Exhibition HeliRussia scheduled for May 17-19, 2012 will again be hosted by the IEC Crocus Expo.

It is the only exhibition in Russia where Russian and overseas companies present world achievements that cover all aspects of helicopter industry - from design,manufacture and retrofit to operation and maintenance.

The exhibition is held in accordance with the Russian Federation Government direction and allows demonstrating defense-related products.

Russian helicopter manufacturing industry is one of the few branches of engineering, which is in the constant progressive development, as evidenced by the number of helicopters produced in the country:
85 helicopters in 2004, 120 in 2007, 183 in 2009 and 216 helicopters in 2010. Russian helicopters are being operated in more than 70 countries of the world.

International companies - Eurocopter, AgustaWestland, Bell Helicopter, MD Helicopters, Robinson, - are also widely presented at the Russian helicopter market.

Foreign made helicopters operation undoubtedly implies a demand for foreign produced spare parts and maintenance services. And the development of ground infrastructure requires a broader supply of technical opportunities in this sphere.

In his greetings to the participants and guests of the exhibition President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev stressed that HeliRussia "represents the most advanced developments of the world producers of helicopters, navigation and other equipment. It promotes to strengthen the international cooperation in the aviation industry."

International Helicopter Industry Exhibition is an integral part of the growing market where a manufacturer can show and a buyer can see the product, make an order or close a transaction.

The popularity of HeliRussia is growing year by year. 161 companies from 17 countries of the world were the participants of the 4-th International Helicopter Industry Exhibition. In 2010 156 companies from 14 countries participated in the exhibition; 129 companies from 10 countries of the world presented their displays at the first HeliRussia; 144 companies from 14 countries presented their displays at the second exhibition.

HeliRussia not only allows showing of helicopter industry achievements, but also draws the best world companies to the Russian market, promotes international cooperation in the helicopter industry. It provides exhibitors an opportunity to meet with industry leaders, business executives, and to discuss aspects of possible collaboration and interaction.

The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin noted in his letter of congratulation to participants and quests of HeliRussia 2011: “It is important, that the wide program of HeliRussia makes it possible not only to show the innovations, but to exchange the useful experience, to discuss the whole spectrum of burning branch problems.”
